David Goettler and Ueli Steck arrived in Nepal to acclimatise for their attempted ascent of a new route on the south face of Shishapangma (8043m).

They will fly to Lhasa, Tibet, on April 17, where they will travel for two-three by Jeep and two more days by foot to get to basecamp on Shishapangma.
