On the 18th April 2013, Jamie Barrow set the British snowboard speed record after reaching 151.60km/h in Verbier, Switzerland on the Mont Fort speed track. Jamie was on the Team GB Boardercross team but had to quit due to a bad back injury in 2013. Ever since, Jamie has set his sights on British and Guinness World records for speed on a snowboard. Not only is he now the fastest snowboarder in the UK, he also holds the Guinness World indoor snowboard speed record, the snowboard speed record for being powered by electric jet engines and the towed by a vehicle snowboard speed record (both by a car and a plane)!
