To kick off, we've got the final results from the Ice Climbing World Cup, which finished last week in Ufa, Russia. Competing in their home country obviously helped the Russian team as they claimed a clean sweep in the overall competitions in all 4 events . The men's and women's lead titles were claimed by Maxim Tomilov and Maria Tolokonina respectively, while the men's speed title went to Nikolay Kuzovlev and the women's to MaryamFilippova.
This means that Maria Tolokonina has retained the title she won last year, whilst in the men's event the title has now been won alternately by Maxim and Park Hee Yong for the past four years. The speed event, meanwhile, remains one of the weirdest things in sport!

Next, we've got an awesome video from Dave Graham climbing his long term project in Fionnay, Switzerland. We reported on the first ascent of the problem, called Foundation's Edge, at the time but it's worth revisiting the story because the video is so good. The problem looks desperate and Dave's banter is as good as ever.

Foundation's Edge weighs in at 8C but Dave is now making noises about adding a sit start, which would push the grade to 8C+ or maybe even 9A so we'll be keeping our eye on this one.
