Just when you thought The Sufferfest couldn't get any more hardcore, we find out that not only will Cedar Wright, Alex Honnold (and guest Sean Leary) be cycling between all their 14ers, they will be FREESOLOing the routes' technical lines as well. These guys are serious ...ly mental. After a bum-blistering 460 mile ride from Shasta, Honnold and Cedar are questioning the wisdom of trying to climb all of California's 14ers by bike. They are exhausted and approaching the climbs unpsyched. But then, their good friend Sean Leary meets them at the trailhead, bringing a much needed dose of enthusiasm! Cedar and Alex are cooked, but they decide to stay the course and do as many technical rock routes as they can, starting with the Palisade Traverse (the hard way) by onsight freesoloing a 2000-foot 5.10 route on Temple Crag! Not only that, they decide to enchain 5 of California's 14,000 foot peaks via an exposed 5.9 ridge traverse! With the finish line far from sight, the Sufferfest really starts to live up to its name!
