Yesterday we reported on Ethan Pringle repeating Chris Sharma’s 9b Jumbo Love, but he’s not the only person climbing well right now. Austrian all-rounder Babsi Zangerl has repeated Markus Haid's 'Schwarzer Schwan' 8c/5.14b in the Ötztal region of her home country. Also 8C, but this time in bouldering grades, is Dai Koyamada’s huge new line 'Horizon', which is easily one of the best-looking boulder problems we've ever seen. He’s been working it for a long time now and has finally done it, and 8C is his suggested grade. Finally, EpicTV athlete Jonathan Siegrist added to his already impressive CV with an ascent of 'Le Cadre Nouvelle', 9a, at Céüse in France after a week or so of working the line. Fast work from the American! Next up, we're heading back to BananaFingers where this week we're taking a look at the best climbing shoes for steep routes and problems. We see how the Evolv Nexxo, Scarpa Instinct VS and the La Sportiva Solution measure up for those climbing predominantly on steeper ground.
