The Buttermilks in Bishop, CA is a boulder field that is home to some of the most iconic ascents in climbing history. One of the jewels in the Buttermilk crown is The Grandpa Peabody boulder, a 45-foot tall freestanding rock that holds a nearly incomparable collection of world-class problems like 'Ambrosia' (V11/5.14a), Paul Robinson's 'Lucid Dreaming' (V15) to the yet-to-be named, V16 mega project that the world's strongest are still working on. Mirko Caballero has wanted to send the V11, high-ball classic 'Evilution' for a long time, or 'long' for a 12-year-old anyway. After watching Michaël Fuselier send it Mirko goes beast and works the problem until it finally goes. Of course, there is a bit of goofing off in between forays into the no-fall zone. He's just a kid, after all. A really strong kid.
