Dynafit’s new boots, the Khion Carbons have a completely revamped hiking system which offers the widest range of ankle mobility in any ski boot to date. You really would need to have dislocated ankles to use the full range of motion on offer. There is also an apparent improvement in how the boot skis and walks (compared to their previous mercury and vulcan) thanks to this system. When engaged into skiing mode, the boot applies pressure to itself, holding the frame tighter together than previous generations of touring boots which makes for better downhill performance. Dynafit have also applied some thought to this boot, creating zones of plastic where the boot can be fitted properly. This could be the next generation of touring boot, we’ll have to see how it performs on the mountain first though. The Dynafit Khion Carbon Review - ISPO 2015 | EpicTV Gear Geek
