The Aerospace from Julbo has a clean-looking new system to prevent lens fogging. For starters, the basic stuff like a non-slip strap, triple layer comfortable face foam and a wide field of view already put this goggle in good standing. The interesting innovation comes when you look at how the lens interacts with the frame. The lens actually comes away from the goggle frame itself leaving roughly 1cm of space in between them allowing for much greater airflow. With other brands adding batteries and a heating element to the goggle, this seems like the much more elegant solution. This means that you can keep your goggles on for hiking, maintaining UV protection for your eyes. The system is fantastically simple and easy to use and makes other options seem much too over engineered. There’s even a photochromatic lens which adapts to changing light levels so you never even need to change the lens. If you ever have an issue with fogging on the way down, you can just pop open the frame for a second, let it clear, and carry on. This is the ultimate goggle for people that are tired of fiddling about with kit, you can put them on in the morning and never need take them off until you’re done for the day.
