Further strengthening Patagonia’s reputation for making high quality, lightweight shell jackets, the improved Rainshadow Jacket now has even more stretch for comfort and ease of use. This has been achieved by using a continuous piece of fabric for the back shoulder panel, giving great freedom of movement, particularly for climbers. The jacket self-stuffs into its own chest pocket and comes with a clip-off loop, making it perfect for those tackling multi-pitch routes or alpine ascents. High waist pockets stay clear of harness waist loops and backpack straps giving you access to storage when you're on the wall. The hood is helmet compatible and a men's medium model weighs in at a mere 272 grams. Patagonia are aiming this jacket at trekkers, lightweight backpackers and climbers. It would be ideal for any of these groups, but climbers in particular will benefit from its extremely well-thought-out design.
