With American Fork Canyon snowed in, James takes a break from his quest to climb every 5.12 at the crag and heads down to southern Utah for some R&R. And by 'R&R' we mean climbing some 5.13's!
Before James took on the 5.12 challenge, 5.13-grade climbs used to spit him off on the reg. Now he finds himself 'feeling light' on them. The lesson, kids, is that if you want to improve by an entire climbing grade, you should first climb at least 200 routes at your current maximum grade. If you don't have that kind of patience, just watch this video.
See those aerial shots? They were captured with a camera attached to an RC helicopter by a stabilized, brushless motor gimbal. Neat, huh?
