A year ago James Simmons started a goal to climb ever route graded 5.12 in American Fork Canyon, Utah. There are over 250. He was recovering from a finger injury and needed a goal that would help him rehab. Over the past year James has dedicated his life to self improvement physically and mentally. He has also managed to climb over 150 5.12's.
He may not have achieved his primary goal, but with so much hard climbing under his belt, he can now climb 5.13's fairly quickly. So he's set a new goal for 2014: he's going to climb 5.14. He has chosen Fantasy Island 5.14b. A climb put up by JC Hunter which only has two ascents so far. In this episode you will see James progress through his goal via training and climbing. He may not be climbing 5.14's yet, but he's getting close!
