On his 2nd attempt of the summer, Dave McLeod has finally completed the 2001 Alex Huber route. Alan Cassidy who was with Dave all the way, they both took it in turns to lead but Alan had to French free the crux pitch, an overhanging ceiling, graded 8C. He is hoping to go back soon to complete this. This was Dave's second visit of the summer to the Dolomites, his first being with Calum Musket in the summer, but they had to turn back due to bad weather. They had bad weather for the second time as well, but they persevered through the cold, and Dave managed to complete the route on the last day of their trip.
