3. Jeff Mercier and Korra Pesce make the first ascent of 'Ghost Dog' in the Dolomites. They've graded it WI6 XR, Mr, 6a, 800m.

2. Robert Jasper on 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', Kandersteg, Switzerland. Robert placed no bolts and graded his line M12, Wi6, 165m. Ouch

1. Colorado. After the amazing conditions produced by the autumn floods, the first notable ascent was made by Topher Donahue and Kevin Cooper in the last week of October. The pair walked into the legendary Diamond (home to many classic rock climbs) on Longs Peak east face, and climbed a new route called 'Window Pain'.
