On 30 July Stephan Siegrist, Dani Arnold, Thomas Huber and Matias Villavicencio succeeded in a rare winter mountaineering ascent of Cerro Torre, Patagonia.
A team of highly experienced alpinists comprised of Switzerland's Stephan Siegrist and Dani Arnold, Germany's Thomas Huber and Argentina's Matias Villavicencio have made an outstanding and extremely rare winter ascent of Cerro Torre by climbing the famous Via dei Ragni and summiting on 30 July in excellent conditions. This is only the second known winter climb ascent of the Ragni route.'

August 21, 2013 - The Spanish mountain runner Kilian Jornet has run up and down the Matterhorn, starting and finishing in the town of Breuil-Cervinia, Italy, in an astonishing 2 hours, 52 minutes ROUND-TRIP.
Jornet took more than 20 minutes off the previous speed record, set back in 1995 by Italian runner Bruno Brunod.
