Sasha Digiulian has made the first ascent of Rolihahla, ~8c/+, at Waterfall Boven in South Africa. On Instagram, Sasha writes: "I SENT!!! I have been working on an open project, bolted by Andrew Pedley, here in Waterfall Boven, South Africa. Now I just did the FIRST ASCENT =] @keithladzinski and @andymann have full film footage and photos @3StringsMedia! Stay tuned! I am thinking that the grade is around 8c/+ and the name in my mind now is Rolihlahla, Nelson Mandela's middle name and also colloquially, "trouble maker!"!"." As far as I know, and I can of course be mistaken, this is the hardest ever sport climbing first ascent by a woman. Beth Rodden's 2008 traditional test piece Meltdown in Yosemite, which has yet to see a repeat is called ~8c+, but I don't know if Rodden herself ever suggested a grade. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=633316876679079&set=a.309100702434033.86312.220938741250230&type=1&theater Steve Swenson's Blog - Attack on Climbers in Pakistan A full round-up of the 'where and why' surrounding the recent Nanga Parbat massacre can be found on Steve Swenson's blog: http://steveswensonsblog.blogspot.fr/2013/06/attack-on-climbers-in-pakistan.html?showComment=1372458547908&m=1
