Almost a year ago now, my whole world was shaken. I got injured and it turned out to be a severe bone defect in my femur. Doctors told me that I'd be out of the water for about a year and that my chances of getting back to a high level of surfing were very uncertain. Fortunately, I had the best team on my side.
