Zambezi Life takes a look at one of the Local Porters, Mukumba and his thoughts on the Batoka Dam and shows the beauty of the gorge and the epic kayaking it harbors. The Dam construction is due to begin next year and threatens the culture that the Zambezi whitewater has developed over the years. The mystery surrounding the dam and the local benefits are very unclear and leaves a lot unanswered questions about who is winning and losing in this situation. Are the locals getting blindsided with promises that will never be fulfilled?
