The ultimate goal in exploratory alpinism is to access an unknown zone and find gold in it. In 2013, for Graham Zimmerman and Mark Allen that unknown zone was the Lacuna Glacier of Alaska and the gold was the East wall of Mt Laurens. This film takes you with Graham and Mark as they travel into the Lacuna and try to slay one of the legendary monsters of the Alaska range, the 4,700' Mastodon Face.
