EpicTV and Goal Zero is proud to announce the release of its brand new series, “The Classic Alpinist" featuring world renowned athlete Ueli Steck. A four-part series, The Classic Alpinist chronicles the highs and lows of Ueli’s mission to summit all 4,000 metre peaks throughout the Alps in just 80 days during the summer of 2015. This incredible feat was made all the more difficult as Steck decided to undergo the entire challenge under manpower alone. No cars, planes nor trains – just Ueli, his bike, and his mountaineering gear on the ultimate endurance challenge in the Alps. Throughout his project, Ueli is accompanied by his friend and long-time collaborator, Daniel Mader, and unsurprisingly, a journey of this magnitude happens to attract some of Europe’s best alpine-climbing talent along the way. Ueli’s climbing career has spanned more than 20 years and in that time he has established himself as one of the the most renowned and respected athletes of his generation, earning the nickname ‘The Swiss Machine’. In an age of fast and light alpinism, Ueli Steck has driven the sport to new heights with his revolutionary ascents all over the world. Join Ueli and the team as they battle their way through the ups and downs of a brand new take on a classic alpine challenge.
