Filmer Luca Rolli: "After a day of work at Col d'Argentiere I had a lot of pictures of all the north slopes - snow EVERYWHERE! Monday evening Pika phoned me and organized a trip for the day after: the equipe was made of me, Julien Pika and Babs Charlet.
"Tuesday morning after a quick check we decided to climb Les Courtes by the NE Spur (there was really too much snow on the NE slope and it looked really scary). A Finnish team had climbed and skied the first couloir of the Cordier route on Les Courtes the day before so we used their tracks to go faster (thanks Mika!) and join the NE Spur from the side.
"50 cm of fresh powder covered everything. Snow was sticking: CRAZY!
Pika made all the tracks to the top of Les Courtes (we stopped just 30m below the summit because of a huge cornice). Pika is 2 steps stronger than anybody I have ever seen.
"We got what we wanted: the dream - to ski Les Courtes in these unbelievable conditions!"
