From The Chains

The traditional method of filming a sport climb is still arguably the best and undoubtedly the most straightforward. The filmmaker can abseil into the chains or, where this isn't possible, climb or jug up and make themself safe on the anchors. From here they can position themselves in the best spot from which to film the climb and capture the best detail of the route. If you're looking to film the whole climb, remember that you'll need a decent quality lens to get all that detail on the lower portions of the route.
