Jimmy Webb marks out the complicated sequence of moves on his new boulder using his chalk to tick mark the rock. For this particular project he's also wearing odd shoes, a choice climbers sometimes make when the footholds of a route demand a different approach from each foot. While one shoe may be required to edge precisely, the other may require a firm-fitting heel to produce better results when heel hooking.
