What You'll Need

To get the job done effectively, you'll need three basic items:

- Loose chalk.

- A hold brush.

- A Sock or similar alternative. (Many people favour beer towels as they can also be used to dry your shoes before a climb).

Leave the chalk covering the hold for around 5 minutes. By this point, the chalk will have absorbed a lot of the moisture from the damp hold. Brush off the damp chalk and inspect the results.
