Hi Camella, The Pivot weighs 72g and the Reverso is 59g. So the Pivot is a little heavier but with the added functionality there are many disciplines where the extra weight wont be much of a sacrifice. Hope that helps, Dave

Hi Oziel, The Alpine Up weighs 175g where as the Smart Alpine is around 40g lighter at 135g. Even though both of these devices have the word "alpine" in their names, we would suggest that the Smart Alpine is much more suited to that discipline. Hope that helps, Dave

Hi Rob, The grip isn't an auto-locking belay device but it does have assisted breaking, making it very easy to hold a fall or just a climber sitting on the rope. Hope that helps, Dave

Correction: the new Serenity rope is now 8.7mm diameter and so is not suitable for use with the Grigri.
