Alpine climbing is a very varied discipline so it is difficult to answer your question with a simple yes or no. If the weather looks warm and stable, then there are certainly plenty of routes that your Crag Hopper will be suited for; sometimes you may even benefit from a lack of insulation and lighter weight.
However, If there is any mixed or ice climbing on your route, or if it will likely be cold, it would be advisable to wear something more substantial and protective.
